Hi Cannonball community!
My name is Debra Brett, and I am the new Communications Director at Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation. I am so excited to join such a dynamic, motivated and inspiring team! Like many of you, I followed Cannon’s story in social media from the beginning stages of diagnosis. My eyes were opened to the horrific world of pediatric cancer and what the children must endure during their treatments. I am fortunate to live in the same community as Cannon and his family and I simply started supporting them by bringing them meals and delivering cards my kids had made to brighten Cannon’s day. My involvement and passion grew over time and I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to work with Team Cannonball to help eliminate childhood cancer.
My goal is to better communicate with you the progress being made through our work at Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation and to keep you informed of events, achievements, ways to help, and more. Melissa and Michael will continue to post their personal updates about Cannon and their family. We simply want to grow more awareness for what is going on with the Foundation so many of you support. We are so grateful to have each and every one of you following and supporting us as we change the face of pediatric cancer! Thank you!
Thank you to those of you who have already purchased a copy of our book, “Thankful For The Fight”. All the proceeds from the sale of the book go directly towards funding a pediatric cancer research project. Books are still available at www.createspace.com/5409855. We have received great feedback and we know the book is touching lives of people around the world, with and without personal experiences with cancer. It is educational and inspiring. We will be organizing a book tour later this year. If you have an opportunity for us to showcase the book at a store or to promote the book via a media outlet in your community, please contact me at email@example.com.
Also, we have some fun events happening domestically and internationally to raise awareness and funds for CKc, from dancing the night away to teeing it up on the fairways. Check out our events calendar at www.cannonballkidscancer.org/events for information on how you can get involved. Thank you to everyone who is helping make these events happen and to those of you participating and helping us Cannonball Kids’ cancer!
Don’t forget, Cannonball Kids’ cancer Card Club is still going strong, too! For more information on how you can host an event, visit www.cannonballkidscancer.org/ckc-card-club-faq.
I look forward to providing more regular updates as we continue to Cannonball Kids’ cancer!
