Hello CKc Community,
We are in full swing for Childhood cancer Awareness Month. Thank you to each of you who have taken a few minutes out of your day to read Michael’s daily posts. These posts are informative and powerful. When September ends, and focus moves away from childhood cancer for the general public, the families who lost a child to cancer or who are fighting for the life of their child won’t be moving on. It is an everyday reality. Help us change the face of pediatric cancer so we can give these children and their families hope for survival. Please, if you are inspired or led to do so, make a donation today. All money donated goes towards pediatric cancer research and towards the ultimate goal of improving treatments and finding a cure.

Last week, Michael returned from Scotland where he had the honor of attending the 3rd Annual Cannonball Golf Day at DunDonald Links in Irvine. More than 100 golfers and many volunteers raised over $20,000 in one day for CKc and pediatric cancer research worldwide. Thank you to our devoted friends in Scotland!!
Melissa helped spread the childhood cancer awareness message via an interview with Orlando’s Channel 13. News anchor, Ybeth Bruzual, also spoke with Melissa about our new book “Thankful For The Fight" and the message of hope and inspiration it shares. Thank you, Ybeth, for being a fantastic supporter of CKc!

Ashley and Melissa leave next week to attend CureFest in Washington D.C. The goal of the event is to unite the childhood cancer community, the general public, leading pediatric oncologists and congressional leaders to have one voice against childhood cancer. Ashley and Melissa will host a CKc booth at the event, participate in meetings with congress, and join general awareness events. It will be a packed weekend, but they are ready and motivated to make a difference!!
Until next time, I challenge you to tell one person about a fact you have learned from Michael’s postings! Awareness=Action=Cure!
