XL Soccer World Raises Approximately $30,000 For Childhood cancer Research

Thank you to our dear friends at XL Soccer World in Orlando for hosting a fabulous event Wednesday night to raise money for childhood cancer research. The event raised approximately $30,000, with 1/3 of the funds being donated to CKc! Thank you to everyone who came out to support the event! Michael Wiggins had the opportunity to give a brief speech about childhood cancer. He explained how the majority of the treatments available to children are adult treatments, not specifically made for children's bodies nor childhood-specific cancers, and how use of these treatments results in life-long disabilities, sicknesses and even secondary cancers in children. Please take a few minutes to watch the video of Michael's speech and learn more about why these children desperately need more research for better treatments NOW!

Don't forget to come out to XL Soccer World this Saturday, Sept. 25, for a family-friendly Kicking Kids' Cancer event beginning at 10 a.m. Enjoy food and drinks, a silent auction, bounce house, raffle and more! A portion of the proceeds from this event also will benefit CKc! Thank you XL Soccer World!
